Tatis Jr. hit the third homer of the second inning off Bryce Miller to extend San Diego’s lead to 4-1. The 26-year-old outfielder has gone deep 18 times in 2025, but this was the first time he’s seen a ball go over the fence from his bat since July 24.

The 26-year-old superstar drew a two-out walk in the third inning but wound up stranded at first. He then worked Justin Wrobleski for a leadoff walk in the eighth, swiped second base and scored on a two-run double by Xander Bogaerts. He’s having a solid all-around season at the plate, hitting .266/.374/.432 with 17 homers, 52 RBI, 90 runs scored and 26 stolen bases.

Tatis reached on an error to lead off the bottom of the first inning and scored on a groundout. He then walked and stole a base in the third before drawing a bases-loaded walk to plate a run in the fourth. Tatis knocked a single in the sixth to reach base for a fourth time. The 26-year-old outfielder is slashing .264/.370/.431 with 17 homers, 85 runs scored, 51 RBI, and 25 steals across 549 plate appearances.

Tatis only hit grounders today, but two of them plated three runs. He has nine hits and four walks in his last five games, pushing his OBP up to .370. That’s good for 10th in the National League.
